Well, it's been awhile since I blogged obviously! I've been really busy with having another daughter at the end of May 2011. I took time off to adjust to two babies in diapers, and have only been doing small jobs here and there, besides being Lead hair and Makeup for the TV show StarBiz in July, August and October 2011. So "taking time off" turned out to be really busy!
I was featured on the Daily Dish on 12/26/2011 talking about New Year's Eve makeup, check it out!

The Latest....

Moving is always so much fun! Well, maybe it is for some people, but for me it is pretty much one of the things I loathe most, especially when it is up to you and your husband to do it ALL! So that pretty much was my life for all of June, and the beginning of July. And then there was the holiday! That was fun, I need to upload those pictures soon so you can see David and his brothers from their Stadium of Fire performance. They were the highlight of the show! So here are some pictures from the last couple jobs I did before the big move! I did a photoshoot with Susie at Definition Images. These were not boudoir, but were done for the beautiful Shaylee on her 16th birthday! She doesn't look 16 does she? She was so lovely and mature and was a natural model! We were going for a dynamic look, while keeping it age appropriate. These are two from that shoot and I think they turned out great! Thanks for sharing Susie.
I also got to do the styling for Jeremy Hoop's video and photo shoot. I enjoy not only do hair and makeup, but shopping for the perfect wardrobe. Here are two photos of Jeremy shot by Jonathan Canlas. It was sooooo windy that day, but you wouldn't know by looking at the pics! Thanks for sharing these Jeremy and classy job Jonathan!

Rock Stars and aftershave balm...

My latest endeavor is making my rock star husband look fantastic! We finished a shoot last month for his upcoming debut solo LP titled "REFLECTED", out March 1st, with the incredibly talented photographer Justin Lyon. Above are just 2 shots, to see more, buy the album at davidosmond.com It was a cold January day, but we couldn't be happier with the shots we got! I love styling for shoots like this, where I not only get to create the hair and makeup look, from the cut and color down to the last detail, but I also get to go shopping for some high fashion duds (clothes). And I get to do another shoot next wednesday for David's upcoming spiritual album project due out this fall.
Most men, well at least the ones I know, don't really take time for skin care. I try to keep on top of David to use a moisturizer. Most men, including my husband, think that using an aftershave balm is good enough, but that only conditions the bottom half of your face, and men are just as susceptible as women are to getting crows feet and other fabulous wrinkles on their foreheads. My favorite skin cleanser is La Roche-Posay's Biomedic. It has a gentle glycolic acid that exfoliates the top layer of dead skin as well as prevents acne, and somehow manages not to dry your skin out. And my favorite moisturizer is Intensive Moisture Balance by Dermalogica. And if you still insist on only using aftershave balm, I recommend Jaipur Homme from Boucheron, it smells delicious!
